Fintech startup Buckle aimed to disrupt the shared economy by offering financial products and services designed specifically for its needs. We pioneered a first-of-its-kind rating system that offered fairer insurance premiums to Uber and Lyft drivers based on their driving behavior, not their credit score. However, the global pandemic significantly impacted Buckle as the rideshare industry experienced an 85% decline during quarantine, ultimately forcing the company to close its doors.
